As far as resemblance the only resemblance is the fact that both shootings took p;ace in Jefferson County, Colorado.

Friday, February 26, 2010 at 2:58AM I'm sure by now you've all heard about the shooting at Deer Creek Middle School in Littleton. Colorado this week.
2 eighth graders were 'allegedly' shot by 32-year-old Bruco Strong Eagle Eastwood. Eastwood attended the school 20 years ago.
He asked the students, one male and one female, if they attended Deer Creek and when they said yes he opened fire. One of the students is in critical condition. I am not going to post their names here but I am praying for their recovery.
Anyway 57-year-old David Benke, a math teacher at the school, obviously has brass ones as he is credited with tackling Eastwood and preventing more casualties.
Eastwood's father says that his son is mentally ill and hears voices but couldn't afford mental health treatments.
Eastwood the younger also has a criminal record including domestic violence, assault, driving under the influence and motor vehicle theft.
So it seems that it's obvious he was unstable and violent.
Again another reason why they should being back asylums for the criminally insane.
Also since this happened less than 4 miles from Columbine the media has been comparing it to Columbine itself. So far the only comparison is relative location as far as I'm concerned.

14-year-old Todd Brown of Discovery Middle School in Madison, Alabama was shot in the back of the head last week in the halls of the school and later died from his injuries.
It seems that some of the kids in the school fancied themselves as wanna be members of the Crips even going as far to wearing the colors.
Supposedly Brown was shot by an unnamed 14-year-old who wanted out of the 'gang' and feared reprisal.
No word yet on if the shooter will be tried as an adult.

Kimveer Gill fan club pulled from Facebook:
It seems that either the Kimveer Gill mutants, who I will now refer to as gill-men, or some asshole who wanted to stir up some shit has been busy on Facebook.
Briefly on Facebook the other day the Kimveer Gill Fan Club page popped up. It was listed as "The place to be if you think Kimveer Gill was a hero."
For those of you who may not remember who Kimveer Gill was he was a 25-year-old loser from Montreal who not only lived with his parents but opened fire at Dawson College in Montreal wounding 19 and killing Dawson student Anastasia De Souza before taking the coward's way out himself. Gill did not even attend Dawson and had staked out other schools as well.
In the interest of transparency Gill even commented on this site. I banned him from the site long before his attack.
Anyway the Facebook fan page had 86 members at the time it was shutdown so even if it was just some jackhole who started it I'm sure there were some gill-men among it's membership.
I have yet to find any credible reports on whether or not Facebook pulled the page or if it was pulled by its originator.
A lot of people tend not to believe me when I say there are 'fans' and 'worshipers' of school shootiers yet here we are. I get the feeling this will just be the first of many of these types of groups on Facebook if there aren't more already.

The cop who interviewed Kauhajoki gunman Matti Saari and chose not to take Saari's gun was acquitted on charges of negligent homicide.
The unnamed officer questioned Saari the day before the shootings at Kauhajoki where Saari murdered 10 people at the school.
A lawyer representing the victims' families says they will appeal and they should because this officer obviously failed with Saari and returned the weapon to him that he used to kill those people.
Here in America, from what I 've heard, an ineffective cop like that is called a donut eater. I wonder what they're called in Finland.

On Tuesday 20-year-old Jason Michael Hamilton walked into his classroom at Northern Virginia Community College with a .30-06 bolt-action rifle and fired twice at his math professor Tatyana Kravchuk. Luckily she hit the ground when she saw the gun and was missed by both shots.
The gun jammed and Hamilton took a seat and quietly surrendered to police when they arrived.
The alleged motive is that Hamilton was upset over his grades. Like I've said before grades are earned not just handed out. And no joke he lived in his parents' basement.
As usual he was described as a loser...sorry, I mean loner. However he was on his high school's cross country team so technically he was a jock breaking at lease one stereotype.
Hamilton has been charged with attempted murder and discharging a firearm in a school zone. It's good to see those school zone laws are discouraging these things from happening. Oh wait, they're not.

And get this. The grade in his remedial math class that he was all upset about doesn't even count toward college credit.
That means he attempted to shoot his professor to death over a grade that didn't even count.
No wonder he's remedial.

German father charged over son's shooting spree:
The father of Albertville-Realschule gunman Tim Kretschmer, Joerg Kretschmer, has officially been charged with 15 counts of negligent manslaughter.
If you'll recall Tim Kretschmer used his father's legal gun to commit the massacre at the Winniden, Germany school before escaping the school and killing more before he took the coward's way out.
German prosecutors say the Kretschmer the elder negligently stored his his guns and ammo.
And yet the negligent parents of the Columbine shooters are still free.
Recently it was revealed that Kretschmer Sr. took his son to buy ammo days before the massacre.
He's looking at ten years if convicted.

Tim Kretschmer's father faces criminal charges:
You all remember Tim Kretschmer don't you? He was the cowardly scumbag who killed 15 in Winneden, Germany after shooting up Albertville-Realschule.
For once a neglectful parent is being held responsible for their role in one of these massacres.
Kretschmer's father is being charged with 15 counts of negligent manslaughter for not securing the gun that his idiot son used in his killing spree.
No word on what the possible sentencing will be.

Your tax dollars at work people. This is all well and good. Parents should keep there guns locked up and away from children. On the other hand it's not addressing the underlying problem. Why are these kids grabbing the guns in the first place? Not until the parents and the schools address this problem will school shootings stop.
