A British motivational speaker accused of killing a Las Vegas woman in a frying pan attack before putting her severed body into a trash can filled with bleach has been indicted on a murder charge in connection with her death.

The man is also charged in a separate case of attempted murder in which he allegedly solicited a transsexual male for sex on Craigslist, then tried to run the person over with the dead woman’s vehicle.

Michael Lane, 37, is facing a charge of murder with a deadly weapon and robbery with a deadly weapon in connection with the death of Ginger Candela, 44, whose body was found by missing persons detectives Nov. 30 in the garage of her home after being indicted last week by a Clark County grand jury.

Lane is also facing a charge of attempted murder with a deadly weapon and battery with a deadly weapon resulting in substantial bodily harm in connection with the alleged attack on the transsexual Nov. 24 near Sunrise Hospital.

Candela died from strangulation, with blunt head trauma as a significant contributing factor, the Clark County Coroner’s Office said.

Her body was found cut in half and stuffed into a trash can filled with bleach, according to a police report. Authorities said they believe she died about two weeks before she was found.

Lane told police the two were meditating in her bedroom when he decided to kill her, which he did by strangling her with an electric cord after striking her with a frying pan, according to the arrest report.

He was arrested Dec. 3 in Ventura, Calif. The vehicle used in the alleged attack was registered to Candela, with whom Lane had been living. Her maroon SUV was reportedly at the motel where Lane was arrested and he had checked in using one of her credit cards, police said.

Police say Lane, a British citizen, has been involved with spiritual healing and motivational speaking. He might have befriended women and possibly defrauded them without their knowledge, authorities said.

Anyone with information about Lane, who police say also goes by the names “Chae Saville” and “Michael Bodhi,” is asked to contact authorities.

Where to start with this scumbag? This is the type of murders that movies get modeled after.

One point for the murder, another point for chopping her in half, one more point for putting her in a trash can, another point for filling it with bleach, 2 points for the number of weeks it took to find her, another point for stealing her car, one more point for trying to run a tranny hooker over with her car, and one last point for being in a profession that just bilks suckers out of their money.

RISING SUN, Ind. -- Ignoring his younger brother's plea of "Andrew, stop," a 17-year-old who told authorities he identified with a serial killer in a television show strangled the younger boy in cold blood, a prosecutor said Thursday.

Prosecutors filed preliminary charges of murder and a supporting affidavit Thursday against Andrew Conley of Rising Sun. Dearborn-Ohio County Prosecutor Aaron Negangard said Conley is being charged as an adult and will appear Friday in court.

The older boy was calm and showed no remorse or emotion as he described strangling 10-year-old Conner Conley as the two wrestled on Sunday, a probable cause affidavit said. Conley told investigators he then dumped his brother's body near a park in the town about 20 miles southwest of Cincinnati, Ohio.

Andrew Conley told authorities he had had fantasies about killing someone since he was in eighth grade, including cutting somebody's throat, and felt "just like" the serial killer Dexter on the Showtime television series of the same name.

According to the affidavit, Conley killed his brother, put the body in the trunk of a car, drove to his girlfriend's house and gave her a sweetheart ring. Conley's girlfriend told investigators he seemed happier than he'd been in a while.

Conley told investigators that killing his brother was like "when people have something like they are hungry and there is a hamburger sitting there and they knew they had to have it," the affidavit said.

Negangard said he will consider seeking the maximum prison term of life without parole. Conley's age makes him ineligible for the death penalty.

Conley also told investigators that on the morning of Conner's death, he stood over his sleeping father with a knife and thought about killing him. Conley went to police Sunday night, admitted killing Conner and told investigators where to find the body.

He told investigators he strangled his brother for 20 minutes and the younger boy's last words were "Andrew, stop," according to the affidavit.

I personally don't watch the show but from what I understand the character of Dexter is a forensic blood spatter specialist who secretly kills evil doers in a serial killer type way. That's a far cry from strangling your 10-year-old brother to death.

One point for killing his brother, another for dumping your own brother's body, another point for having your brother's body in the car when seeing your girlfriend, one more point for being happier than you've been in a while, one more point for fantasizing about killing, another point for the idiotic hamburger analogy, another point for not being eligible for the death penalty, and one last point for completely missing the point of Dexter. That's 8.

6 bodies found at Ohio rapist's home

(CNN) -- Six women found dead at a Cleveland, Ohio, home appeared to have been strangled, and their decomposing bodies could have been lying there for "weeks, if not months or years," a coroner told CNN on Saturday.

Police discovered the bodies at the home of Anthony Sowell, a 50-year-old convicted rapist, after they tried to serve an arrest and search warrant for him related to a sexual assault investigation.

Five female victims were found inside the home, and another female body was discovered outside the home, said Cuyahoga County Coroner Frank Miller III.

About a month ago, a woman accused Sowell of rape and felonious assault, Stacho said Friday.

Officers serving the warrants Thursday discovered two badly decomposed bodies on the third floor of the house, Stacho said. A subsequent search revealed what appeared to be a freshly dug grave under the stairs in the basement, he said.

On Friday, investigators returned to the house, dug up the grave and found a third body, he said.

A further search of the house and property found two more bodies in a crawl space, and a sixth body was found in a shallow grave outside the home, Stacho said.

Five different burial methods were used on the victims, and the bodies were in varying states of decomposition, Miller said, making it difficult to determine the ages of the victims. He added that the states of the bodies made it hard to tell how long they had lain in the makeshift graves.

Stacho said Sowell makes his living as a "scrapper."

"He walks around and picks up scrap metal and takes it to junkyards to make a few pennies."

Sowell was convicted for a 1989 rape for which he was imprisoned from 1990 to 2005, Stacho said.

Straight to the points on this one.

One point for each of the bodies found in his house (6), another point for the woman he allegedly raped, one more point for not having a real job, four points for each of the burial sites within the property, and one last point for the fact that a dangerous predator like this scumbag was allowed out of jail. Again these predators need to be kept locked up for life. That's 13.

DORAL, Fla. -- A South Florida disc jockey has been charged with murder in the death of an FIU freshman after he drove to the Miami-Dade Police Department in Doral with the dead victim in his car, police said.

According to investigators, 30-year-old Juan Carlos Portieles confessed that he choked his girlfriend to death during an argument. He then told officers her body was inside his car parked in the police parking lot, investigators said.

Portieles also admitted that he drove around for hours with the victim's body in the passenger seat before turning himself in to police, according to investigators.

The victim was identified as 18-year-old Jaclyn Torrealba, a recent graduate of Braddock Senior High in Miami.

Portieles was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he was held in an area designated for inmates who are mentally or physically injured.

It gets worse...

Meanwhile, CBS news blog Crimesider talked to Jaclyn's cousin Daniela Torrealba, who said the family found the couple's two-year relationship, which began when Jaclyn was 16, "disturbing" and that it had "issues because he was so much older."

They also confirm what we reported yesterday, that the 30 year-old Portieles seemed to surround himself with underage girls.

I haven't met a lot of DJs in my time but the ones that I have met it's a wonder how they stay out of jail. Much like DJ Scumbag here they like to surround themselves with teeny boppers and they also do in an inordinate amount of drugs. And why do they all call themselves DJ Somethingorother. Like all the records and equipment doesn't give that away. Now I'm not saying all DJs are like that but a lot of them are. And the first person to call them musicians gets slapped with a sturgeon. Most musicians play their own music.

One point for killing the girl, another point for driving around with her corpse in a Norman Bates like fashion, another for being a creeper who likes little girls, another point for having a history of violence against women, one more point for still being a DJ at 30 (get a real job), and one last point for having the idiotic name of DJ Seasunz. That's 6.
