51-year-old Eva Cummings and her 31-year-old son Luke Wright have been arrested and indicted for the death of 23-year-old Laura Cummings. Laura Cummings was the disabled daughter of Eva Cummings and the half-sister of Wright.

Eva Cummings is accused in the suffocation death of her daughter in their North Collins, New York home outside of Buffalo. She is also accused of sodomizing her daughter with a broomstick, scalding her, restraining her to a chair with a hood over her head, the pre-requisite beatings, and forcing her daughter's face into her own feces. She's looking at 83 years.

Wright not only allegedly engaged in some of the same acts but he's also been accused of raping his own mentally disabled half-sister. He's looking at 133 years.

Another brother of Laura Cummings is serving in the Air Force and is stationed in North Carolina. He tried to get his sister removed from the home by by social services but he was unsuccessful.

We are judged as a society by how we treat the most defenseless members of it. Like I've said many times with stories like this it shows that as a society we do not deserve to even exist.

Bronx mom Lakisha Scriven shot in head, killed in front of daughters while taking them to school:

A Bronx mom taking her kids to school Monday was killed by a brazen gunman who fired a bullet into the back of her head as her daughters screamed in horror, police and witnesses said.

Lakisha Scriven, 30, a supervisor for the city's Administration for Children's Services, was shot execution-style as she loaded her girls into her parked SUV.

Scriven died at Jacobi Medical Center an hour and a half after the 7:15 a.m. shooting in Wakefield, police said.

Her girls, ages 5 and 8, were unharmed but terrified, Parks said.

Investigators - who believe the shooting was a hit - were questioning the father of Scriven's children as well as the victim's new boyfriend at the 47th Precinct stationhouse last night, police sources said.

The kids told Parks and police that they did not recognize the gunman. Police believe the killer walked up to Scriven's Ford Explorer as she piled her girls into the vehicle and then opened fire.

Scriven lived with her girls in a well-maintained building just steps from where she was slain, relatives said.

It was not immediately clear when Scriven started dating her new boyfriend, according to neighbors and police sources. His name was not released.

Queens woman, sons rescued after jilted boyfriend set her on fire:

A jilted boyfriend doused his ex-lover with gasoline on Sunday and set her on fire, trapping the burning woman and her two sons in their Queens apartment, officials said.

Latisha Shaw screamed in anguish as the flames raced up her legs seconds after her crazed former beau tossed a match on her gasoline-soaked pants, witnesses said.

Khenan Clarke - a heartless ex-con who neighbors said looked like "Satan" - also set a blaze in the fourth-floor stairwell of the Queensbridge Houses building, preventing Shaw and her two boys from fleeing to safety, authorities said.

Shaw, 22, fought through the smoke and reached the roof of the housing project where she collapsed and was rescued by firefighters, officials said.

Her two sons - Jayden, 5, and Ahshi, 3 - were pulled from the burning apartment by firefighters and were being treated for smoke inhalation, officials said. They should recover fully.

Shaw, who suffered burns on her stomach and legs, was listed in critical but stable condition at New York-Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell, officials said.

The couple started feuding about 10:45 a.m. and things quickly escalated into a shouting match.

Investigators said Clarke, who is Jayden's father, stormed off and bought several cans of gasoline. He returned to the Long Island City apartment building to set the fire.

Clarke, 25, inadvertently splashed himself with the gasoline and his own clothes burst into flames when he tossed the match on Shaw, witnesses said.

Lewis watched in horror as a singed Clarke calmly walked out of the burning building to his car.

"[He] just started peeling the skin off his legs like nothing even happened," said Lewis. "It looked like ... Satan himself. He had this blank look on his face."

Clarke was charged with attempted murder, arson and reckless endangerment.

How much hate and anger do you have to have to drive away from an argument, buy a can of gas then come back and set everything and everyone on fire?

One point for being a coward who needs to harass a woman , one more point for setting a woman on fire, two more points for almost setting her kids on fire, one more point for putting everyone else in the apartment building in danger, another point for setting yourself on fire like a dumbass, another point for being an ex-con who can't stay out of trouble, and one last point for obviously having no soul. I hope that when you pulled the skin off your legs that it was the most painful thing you've ever experienced.

Pet cemetery horror house found on Long Island; woman charged with animal cruelty:

Animal control officers unearthed a gruesome pet cemetery Saturday in the backyard of a Long Island woman who is suspected of torturing, killing and burying as many as 20 dogs and cats.

Some of the animals are thought to be pets belonging to Sharon McDonough's neighbors in Suffolk County, officials said.

As word spread on Awixa Place in Selden, neighbors began showing up with pictures of their missing animals.

McDonough, 43, was charged with animal cruelty.

"We have the allegation that she tortured, killed and buried them in her backyard," Suffolk County SPCA Chief Roy Gross said. "It appears to be mostly dogs but we won't know for sure until a vet checks them out."

Investigators uncovered the cemetery with help from the cast of the National Geographic show, "Rescue Ink Unleased."

An anonymous tipster called the muscle-bound, motorcycle-riding cast and told them animals were being mistreated at McDonough's home.

When "Rescue Ink" cast members showed up at the house and discovered malnourished pets at the home, they called the SPCA, Gross said.

He said SPCA investigators found five gaunt dogs in small, cramped cages at the home.

The SPCA returned Saturday with a search warrant and began digging, unearthing bones from as many as 20 animals, Gross said.

I don't watch the show because I hate to see animals in any kind of distress but Jade tells me they do good work so bravo to them.

But getting back to the subject of this post, what the hell is wrong with you? Not only did you abuse other people's pets buy you abused your own as well. I don't get that, Why bother having the animals if you're just going to abuse them. Now you'll get to feel what it's like to be abused in a cage.
