Huntington Beach PD get yet another craigslist predator

David Bryan, Accused of Asking Girl, 13, to Wear Red Undies, Meet Him for Sex:

It's been over a decade since the last and only time I was in California. If I ever go back I want to go to Huntington Beach. Their police department is starting to become one of my favorites. Much like the Punta Gorda, Florida police have done to get predators and drug dealers off of MySpace in their community the Huntington Beach PD is doing the same in getting craigslist predators out of theirs.

This time the suspect is one 40-year-old David Walker Bryan of Anaheim.  Bryan is accused of approaching a 13-year-old girl on the casual encounters section and sending her explicit e-mails and text messages one of which allegedly instructed the girl to masturbate at school.

Bryan was arrested when he met the girl at her house for what he thought was going to be a sexual liaison. However as I'm sure you guessed by now the girl was actually the Huntington Beach Police Department.

Let us not also forget that Bryan is a registered sex offender.

The sad part of this story is that this scumbag is only looking at 5 years behind bars.

The laws need to be changed to keep predators like this behind bars for much longer than these paltry sentences they've been getting. Where are the Attorneys General on that?

And to keep flogging a deceased equine where was the much touted community policing of the casual encounters section on flagging an ad from a 13-year-old girl?

Clark County Fire Captain wanted the younger the better on craigslist

Fire Captain Arrested In Sex Sting:

55-year-old Martin Vohwinkel, which no offense sounds like the name of a child molester, of Henderson, Nevada was arrested for using craigslist's casual encounters section to try and set up a meeting with a minor for sex. Vohwinkel is also a captain of the Clark County Fire Department.

Vohwinkel allegedly placed an ad that said he was looking for sex with a young girl. As is usual in these cases the response to his ad came from the Henderson police posing as a 14-year-old girl. Vohwinkel allegedly said that he wanted to meet the girl ASAP and that the younger the better and that he was *shudder* horny.

The best part is when police set up the meeting and went to arrest him they called a number that Vohwinkel had provided the 'girl' and his phone rang.

Again this 'allegedly' happened on the craigslist casual encounters section. Where was the self policing by the craigslist community? Oh that's right, there was none so the real police had to get involved.

All he wanted for Christmas was a hot young boy

Bail lowered in sex solicitation case:

You know how when someone says if you look up such and such in the dictionary it would have his picture? I think if you looked up child molester in the dictionary it would have this guy's picture.

Anyway, Webster over there is 54-year-old Richard E. Woodward of Brunswick, Maryland. He's been arrested on charges of sexual solicitation of a minor and child pornography. It seems that he allegedly posted an ad on craigslist that said "all I want (for) Christmas is a young hot boy,".

Someone on craigslist tipped off police who posed as a 14-year-old boy. Woodward allegedly sent the 'boy' a link to a website containing child porn.

Notice that someone called police about the ad. Notice there was no mentioned of the ad being flagged on craigslist. I wouldn't really call that 'community policing' as craigslist would refer to it.

Thanks to Bay for the tip.

Kijiji predator gets time served

Man sentenced to time served on child luring charge:

In the 3rd story I've posted recently (1st, 2nd) another Canadian internet child predator gets a slap on the wrist. In this case less than a slap on the wrist.

41-year-old Christopher Nickel of St. Catharines, Ontario was given time served for trying to sexually lure a teen girl through the eBay owned Kijiji who was advertising for baby sitting and house cleaning.

Nickel spent 5 months in jail while awaiting trial then spent some time on house arrest.

Judge Joseph Nadel said this about Nickel...

Nadel told Nickel he wasn't sending him back to jail, "and you should be grateful," he said, adding a year "is a good sentence."

Nadel ordered strict probationary terms, including Nickel's registration in the sex-offender registry, plus prohibitions on Internet use and being around minors.

He also scolded Nickel, telling him to find work and get any needed counselling.

"What makes us different from the animals is our ability to be self-aware (and) control our animal urges," he told him.

"You've got three years to turn your life around and get some help in doing so," Nadel said.

"I'd be very grateful not to have to see you again as an accused person."

If you didn't want to see him again as an accused person then you should have sent him to jail.

California craigslist attempted child rapist arrested

Brea man charged with attempted lewd act with teen:

Yet another child predator fished out of the craigslist sewers.

In Huntington Beach, California police arrested 25-year-old Venson Magbojos Villapando for allegedly setting up a meeting with a 13-year-old girl over craigslist in order to have sex with her.

Villapando was allegedly going to pay the girl $100 for sex.

Guess who the girl really was. That's right, the Huntington Beach PD.

More ads that are being missed by craigslist's 'community policing'.

Coach seeking boys busted on craigslist

Graphic post on CraigsList lands Cedarburg native in jail:

Man arrested at Cedarburg McDonald's on computer sex sting:

Man Busted in Sex Sting:

39-year-old Micah Stern (pictured) is from New York City. He was in Cedarburg, Wisconsin for a funeral. He must have been so grief stricken in his mourning that he allegedly posted a graphic ad on craigslist.

The ad was entitled 'Coach Seeking Boys' and went on to read "I am into younger guys who like aggressive men"

The ad also contained a cartoon, which I bet was some form of anime, of a man and boy having sex.

A 14-year-old boy responded to an ad and Stern allegedly set up a meeting in the men's room of a McDonalds in Cedarburg. Luckily the 14-year-old boy was actually an undercover state agent.

Now Stern's alleged ad wasn't placed in the adult services section or even the casual encounters section. It was posted in the Men seeking Men section. Where was the self policing on this one that craigslist and the EFF are so fond to flout about? Most gay men that I know are as equally as repulsed by child molestation as I am. Why wasn't this ad flagged especially in such a small town setting?

How many ads like this go unflagged with children being molested?

Vancouver man charged with child luring on craigslist

Man charged with child luring:

Here we have yet another shining example of the type of denizens that inhabit what I'm almost positive was the casual encounters section of craigslist.

27-year-old Preston Andrew Clarke of Vancouver, BC (still not AD) was arrested for allegedly placing an ad on craigslist seeking sex with an "inexperienced girl".

Luckily it was the Vancouver police that responded to his ad posing as a 14-year-old girl and Clarke was promptly arrested when he went to meet the 'girl'.

Again I say the policing of craigslist by its users obviously doesn't work. If it did these ads would never see the light of day. But God forbid that craigslist should actually try and monitor these ads.

Man trades 5 cases of beer for sex with underage girl

Va. man nabbed in Craigslist sex sting; drawn in by fake ad:

Claude Philip Diehl Jr., of Hollywood, Virginia was arrested for allegedly trying to trade beer and cash for having sex with a 13-year-old girl. Diehl allegedly responded to an ad on craigslist that read in part "Leftover Halloween candy? "Anyone have candy to donate to 'girl' so she's not sad anymore?" The ad was in the casual encounters section. You know, one of the many un-moderated sections of craigslist.

Diehl allegedly worked for a beer distributor and promised the father who was pimping out his daughter $40 and 5 cases of beer. He showed up for the tryst with the beer and the cash, condoms and a Miley Cyrus CD. Luckily when the beer was placed in the father's truck it turns out the father was part of the Leesburg, Virginia police force and promptly arrested Diehl.

Luckily this was all a sting operation and there was no 13-year-old girl however it shows a couple of things. First, while this ad was a fake it shows that there are people out there whoring out their kids on craigslist. The second thing is that if craigslist's user policing works as well as they claim this ad should have never seen the light of day. And Lastly Jim Buckmaster can't claim that this has happened in newspaper advertisements. I don't think any self respecting newspaper would have ever run an ad like that.

I am dying of curiosity to know what kind of beer it was.

Connecticut craigslist creeper arrested

Craigslist probe by Connecticut State Police leads to arrest of 31-year-old Somers man for having inappropriate conversations with 15-year-old:

31-year-old Steven Leighton aka Steven Sheehan of Somers, Connecticut was arrested for having inappropriate conversations with a 15-year-old girl via craigslist.

Police were tipped off when someone complained about a series of sexually explicit ads that were posted to craigslist.

It makes me wonder why a 15-year-old girl was on craigslist responding to this creep's ad. I can only imagine what kind of home she must come from. Sad really.

Another Mass. man busted on craigslist

Man Accused Of Trying To Lure Teen For Sex:

Another guy from Massachusetts soliciting underage sex on craigslist. This time it's married father of two Fred Newhall III of Uxbridge. He posted an ad looking for a teenage "house cleaner". What he ended up getting was Auburn Police Detective James Lyman posing as a 15-year-old girl.

"He gave me a price list. If you clean, you get this. If there's light touching, that's how much you get. Right up to full contact being $500 a day," Lyman said.

Lyman said Newhall made the ultimate promise.

"He told her if she was submissive and did everything he told her, he'd buy her a new vehicle for her birthday," Auburn Police Chief Andrew Sluckis.

Newhall arranged for a meeting with the girl at a house in Auburn. But when he got there, he didn't find a 15-year-old girl; he met a police officer.

"He had alcohol and he had some sort of massage oil. He knew what he was going to do," Lyman said.

Realizing the sting, Newhall allegedly pushed the police officer and ran. It took seven police officers to catch and handcuff him.

I have no sympathy for scumbags like this. Especially ones that are supposed to be fathers.
