Huntington Beach PD get yet another craigslist predator

David Bryan, Accused of Asking Girl, 13, to Wear Red Undies, Meet Him for Sex:

It's been over a decade since the last and only time I was in California. If I ever go back I want to go to Huntington Beach. Their police department is starting to become one of my favorites. Much like the Punta Gorda, Florida police have done to get predators and drug dealers off of MySpace in their community the Huntington Beach PD is doing the same in getting craigslist predators out of theirs.

This time the suspect is one 40-year-old David Walker Bryan of Anaheim.  Bryan is accused of approaching a 13-year-old girl on the casual encounters section and sending her explicit e-mails and text messages one of which allegedly instructed the girl to masturbate at school.

Bryan was arrested when he met the girl at her house for what he thought was going to be a sexual liaison. However as I'm sure you guessed by now the girl was actually the Huntington Beach Police Department.

Let us not also forget that Bryan is a registered sex offender.

The sad part of this story is that this scumbag is only looking at 5 years behind bars.

The laws need to be changed to keep predators like this behind bars for much longer than these paltry sentences they've been getting. Where are the Attorneys General on that?

And to keep flogging a deceased equine where was the much touted community policing of the casual encounters section on flagging an ad from a 13-year-old girl?

Huntington Beach PD capture another craigslist predator

Bartender accused of soliciting 13-year-old:

Police in Huntington Beach, California have captured another alleged child predator on craigslist using the exact same tactic if not the exact same ad.

This time it was 27-year-old Gabriel Preto who responded to an ad where he thought he was going to pay for sex with a 13-year-old girl. And just like the last time the girl was in fact the Huntington Beach PD.

Hopefully the Huntington Bach police will keep taking dangerous craigslist predators like this off the streets.

Now if only the courts would keep them behind bars.

California craigslist attempted child rapist arrested

Brea man charged with attempted lewd act with teen:

Yet another child predator fished out of the craigslist sewers.

In Huntington Beach, California police arrested 25-year-old Venson Magbojos Villapando for allegedly setting up a meeting with a 13-year-old girl over craigslist in order to have sex with her.

Villapando was allegedly going to pay the girl $100 for sex.

Guess who the girl really was. That's right, the Huntington Beach PD.

More ads that are being missed by craigslist's 'community policing'.

Mother-daughter hooker team from California enter plea

Mother, Daughter Take Plea Deal In Internet Prostitution Case:

The California mother-daughter craigslist hooker team of Katherine Silvers and Sarah Sunshine have entered into a plea deal with prosecutors that will spare them jail time.

They were sentenced to two years of probation and a fine of $381 each.

That will teach them by giving them a fine they could make in an hour and a half.

If the courts were serious about curbing prostitution they would levy much larger fines.

9 indicted for child prostitution in San Diego

9 indicted on child sex trafficking charges in SD:

Nine people were indicted on federal charges of child sex trafficking in San Diego this past week. The nine are believed to have been part of a San Diego gang that prostituted three girls ages 15, 16 and 19 on craigslist. The alleged crimes took place between January and November of 2009.

Now when did craigslist supposedly change their site to prevent things like this from happening? That's right, it was May of 2009. It's working liking a charm. Oh wait, no it's not.

And again where was the so called user policing to flag these ads? Then again you can't believe that sucm who use child prostitutes would make the best policemen.

13-year-old sells Oxycodone on craigslist

Teen Arrest for Craigslist Drug Ad:

A 13-year-old boy from Sacramento, California was arrested for allegedly selling Oxycodone among other items on craigslist. The local Fox station there came across the ad and in turn they notified police who were surprised as anyone to find a 13-year-old pushing Oxycodone. Not only was the teen arrested but police also arrested the people who were trying to buy the drugs from him.

I didn't think there was an illegal prescription drug section of craigslist. Yet again I have to ask where was craigslist's user policing on this one. That's right, they were running to the kid to buy pills.

Letting the inmates run the asylum never works.

Teen pleads guilty to pimping out his baby mama on craigslist

Man pleads guilty to pimping teenage girlfriend:

19-year-old Michael Dunbar of San Diego pleaded guilty last week to pimping out his then 17-year-old girlfriend on craigslist in Ontario, California. The 'couple' also have an 18-month-old daughter and have been dating for 5 years. Because nothing says love like selling yourself for sex for your boyfriend or pimping out the mother of your child.

The worst part is Dunbar is only facing felony probation and some jail time. Isn't that a little light for what is technically child prostitution?

And again with an ad that said "SiiMpLy ExOTiic -+- Ebony model with Sweet Sensations...don't miss out!..." how did ths get past craigslist users that supposedly police the site so well and the alleged mystery screenings that craigslist allegedly uses to keep these kind of ads out?

I'm 12 and I need sexual help

Police Investigate Craigslist Sex Post:

Police in Sacramento, California are investigating the following ad they allegedly found on craigslist...

Hi. "I'm 12 and I need sexual help. I wanna be experienced when I get to high school. Don't email me. Just call..."

The number itself traced back to a prepaid cell phone.

Police do not think that it is an actual 12-year-old girl but some kind of sexual predator. Unfortunately their hands are tied with what they can do since this isn't a life or death situation.

However this goes to show you that this is just another criminal activity that is going on unabated on craigslist and they still choose to do nothing about it.

Like I've said many times before that self policing does not work. The people who traverse the sections of craigslist that contain these kind of ads are not going to flag any illegal ads because that is exactly what they're looking for.

Woman tries to sell stolen shoes back to owner on craigslist

Soleless: Shoe theft victim seeks sneakers' return:

In California a woman who stole two pairs of expensive basketball sneakers from a shoe collector was arrested after trying to sell the shoes back to the collector on craigslist.

The 26-year-old woman was charged Friday with three misdemeanors, including possession of stolen property and two drug violations, Deputy District Attorney Rob Warren said. She remains in custody on the charges, as well as a probation violation.

The woman's case stems from a theft this week in which a shoe collector had two pairs of recently purchased size 101/2 blue Nike Air Foamposite One Penny Hardaway retro basketball shoes — which retail for more than $250 a pair — stolen from his doorstep shortly after they were delivered, police said. They were taken Wednesday and offered for sale a day later on Craigslist.org, Detective Bill Veteran said.

This one is too easy but it's tailor made for you know who.

For your criminal acumen in the area of stolen shoes not only do you receive the Red Forman Dumbass Award but I'm also going to throw in the Al Bundy for being a loser trying to sell shoes.

Red wants to put on those size 10 1/2 blue Nike Air Foamposite One Penny Hardaway retro basketball shoes and put them straight in your ass. Al just wants to die.

California craigslist crime

Craigslist trysts proving dangerous in Richmond:

This is a story from Richmond, California about a recent slew of crimes they've had related to craigslist. One man was robbed and carjacked after meeting a woman he thought he was going to pay for sex. Someone who thought they were selling shoes to someone off of craigslist was beaten with a rifle and carjacked. A series of prostitutes advertising on craigslist have gone to houses and have been robbed at gunpoint. Craigslist's response? The usual…

In an e-mailed response to a Times query, a Craigslist publicist said that "all illegal activity is forbidden on Craigslist by our terms of use, nor is it welcome on Craigslist. That includes prostitution and thieves."

But, Susan MacTavish Best wrote, the site carries an "erotic services" section because some users do want to see ads for legal escort services; others do not want them mixed with personal classified ads.

So basically they're saying that prostitution isn't allowed on craigslist except for it's own section on craigslist.
