July 1, 2009Jacksonville air conditioning contractor busted over installing stolen units:
Contractor Kimble Starr Butler of Jacksonville, Fla. who ran a business called K and R Cooling advertised on craigslist promising low rates. The reason his rates were so low is because he was allegedly installing stolen air conditioners.
Shots Fired After Craigslist Meeting:
In Overland Park, Kansas 21-year-old Brian Hurt, who may or may not have been driver/security for a craigslist prostitute, was arrested for firing shots into the apartment of a man his female partner just visited. Again this shows that prostitution is still happening on craigslist, not to mention that getting a hooker is inherently risky in more ways than one.
Authorities warn job-seekers of ‘ABS Solutions’ advertising on Craigslist:
The U.S. Postal Inspection Service is warning people about a work at home scam from a company that advertises on craigslist called ABS Solutions. It’s just another variant of the fake check scam. If you get a check from them do not cash it but do inform your local law enforcement.
Charges mount for Monroe man accused of stealing ATVs:
Dateline: Monroe County, Georgia…
William Lewis Merrian, 37, is accused of stealing 13 four wheelers, one EZ-Go Golf Cart, four riding lawn mowers, yard tools and a utility type trailer from areas in Georgia and Alabama.
He’s also accused of trying to sell the items on craigslist.
